Experience Cool Comfort With Cadillac

When the weather heats up, the last place you want to feel the discomfort is inside your vehicle. Here are six tips for keeping you and your Cadillac comfortable.

  1. Feeling the heat. Getting into a hot car can be uncomfortable, especially with leather seats or metal buckles. Many Cadillac models have ventilated seats to cool them quickly once the engine runs. A towel can also protect you from hot seats and buckles. If you prefer a more stylish solution, Cadillac offers removable cloth seat covers for comfort.
  2. Is your engine hot? As temperatures rise, your engine needs attention, too. For Cadillacs with internal combustion engines, check oil and coolant levels to ensure smooth summer driving. With electric vehicles, regular oil changes are unnecessary, but monitoring coolant levels is essential. Heat affects charging speed and battery life. Cadillac EVs feature a thermal management system to optimize battery performance. Find your nearest Cadillac dealership or schedule regular maintenance with Certified Service experts to beat the heat.
  3. Check your tires. Heat can wreak havoc on your tires. When the temperature rises, your tire pressure may fluctuate. Make sure your tires are properly inflated and your tread is at a safe depth before driving off into the sunset.
  4. Take the shade with you. Sunshades are more than just accessories; they effectively keep your Cadillac’s interior cooler while parked and help maintain the condition of interiors. They also prevent sun fading and damage to the steering wheel, dashboard and other exposed parts of the interior.
  5. Cool your ride before your drive. Cadillacs come with advanced features to keep you cool. Remote start lets you activate the engine and air conditioning using a key fob or app. Automatic Climate Control adjusts fan speed, airflow and temperature, while Dual-Zone or Multi-Zone settings allow individual preferences. Heated and ventilated seats add comfort, and some models feature a heated steering wheel. The A/C button turns on the air conditioning, and the Sync feature matches all zones to the driver’s temperature setting.
  6. Need help? Emergencies happen. If your Cadillac does overheat or you get stuck in a severe summer storm, having backup is a good idea. OnStar® offers Roadside Assistance, Crisis Assist and Emergency Services. If available, push the OnStar button to learn more or to get set up. Or if you’re on the go, you can access OnStar through the mobile app.

By following these simple tips, you can ensure that both you and Cadillac remain cool throughout the summer year.
